At one point where you sit down looking around, and really wonder upon some issues....When you are all alone and the wind is blowing. You really wonder why are you here and isn't the current what you wanted all along?
This town is colder now, I think it's sick of us
It's time to make our move, I'm shakin off the rust
I've got my heart set on anywhere but here
I'm staring down myself, counting up the years
Steady hands, just take the wheel...
And every glance is killing me
Time to make one last appeal... for the life I lead
Stop and stare
I think I'm moving but I go nowhere
Yeah I know that everyone gets scared
But I've become what I can't be, oh
Stop and stare
You start to wonder why you're 'here' not there
And you'd give anything to get what's fair
But fair ain't what you really need
Oh, can u see what I see
They're tryin to come back, all my senses push
Un-tie the weight bags, I never thought I could...
Steady feet, don't fail me now
Gonna run till you can't walk
But something pulls my focus out
And I'm standing down...
Stop and stare
I think I'm moving but I go nowhere
Yeah I know that everyone gets scared
But I've become what I can't be, oh
Stop and stare
You start to wonder why you're here not there
And you'd give anything to get what's fair
But fair ain't what you really need
Oh, you don't need
What u need, what u need...
Stop and stare
I think I'm moving but I go nowhere
Yeah I know that everyone gets scared
But I've become what I can't be
Oh, do u see what I see...

Melbourne in A Day
Now that I'm finally here there are things I enjoy pretty much, yet there are things which I miss pretty much also.
The experience here is definitely gonna be rich. But there's one which I thought which would be pretty fun but had to give that up =p
It has been 2 long days for me so I'm gonna sum things up:
Clock Tower
but this is one you can't find in Melbourne =)
The experience here is definitely gonna be rich. But there's one which I thought which would be pretty fun but had to give that up =p
It has been 2 long days for me so I'm gonna sum things up:
- Chicks here are various, from one end of the spectrum to the other. Plus sized is really common here, so hipposeed, this really is a place for you because it makes you look REALLY MUCH BETTER here.
- Despite being so large, Uni Melbourne is very accessible unlike UTP. The building's are pretty classical (not as classical as Oxbridge) and weather being pleasant, its really nice to just stroll around uni and even better sleep under a tree.
- Food is awesome. Really spoilt with choice here and the only limit will be how deep a hole your wallet can withstand.
- Transportation is unlike Malaysia. One ticket can be used for bus trams and trains. And here without a car, you still have your legs.

WHY MUST KNOW HOW TO SPEAK ENGLISH ?
One day, an Ang Moh from USA arrived at KLIA Airport.
After he checked out from the customs,
he felt he needed to go to the toilet, so he looked for one.
When he found the toilet, there was a lady sitting at the entrance.
When he was about to enter the toilet,
the lady stopped him and asked for forty cents in Cantonese ('sey kok').
The Mat Salleh wondered why in MALAYSIA
they have to 'see the cock' before entering the toilet?
So he said 'no' but the lady insisted.
Since he had no choice, he took out his cock and showed it to her.
The lady said 'No! No! Duit, Duit!' (money in Malay),
but the Ang Moh misunderstood again and thought that she said ' Do it! Do it ! '
So he asked, 'Now? Here?'
The lady replied 'Yes, yes!' because she doesn't quite understand English.
The Ang Moh thought that she wanted to have sex with him,
so he stripped the lady and made love to her.
The lady started screaming and shouted, 'SAKIT!SAKIT!' (pain in Malay),
and the Ang Moh thought it was 'SUCK IT! SUCK IT!'
He said 'OK! I will suck it for you' and took both breasts and suck them.
The lady again screamed 'Oh, TUHAN!' (Oh, MY GOD....in Malay).
The Ang Moh misunderstood again. 'Too HARD?
OK, sweetheart, I'll be gentler a bit,' the Ang Moh replied.
Suddenly, a security guard walked by, so the lady shouted for help,
'TOLONG! TOLONG, ENCIK!'
The Ang Moh replied, 'Not too long, just 6 inches only.'

I called ESU Petronas, requesting that they will extend my scholarship to cover my cost upon embarking on this Study Abroad Program, whereby I'll be studying in the University of Melbourne for a semester. Though its a short one semester the total cost is exorbitant.
Keeping a polite and hopeful tune, I called Mr Asridin our student advisor to UTP based scholars.
Me : Sir, will Petronas be able to sponsor my course of study in Melbourne considering I'm the only one embarking on this program and my good track record.
Asridin : No I don't think so. But we working with UTP to send students over under the same program later on in the year.
Me : So does this mean Petronas will only sponsor the coming batch and not mine this time. I'm surprised why ESU does not sponsor this batch which I'm going on, but the previous and the coming ones. Can't anything be done sir?
Asridin : No I'm afraid not. Too bad for you. Its just pure bad timing.
I was very indignant when I heard that. Yeah its bad timing and though luck, but that doesn't mean I have to be told that apart from being spoken to in a tone as if I was a beggar. I wasn't really indignant or mad when I heard they will not be sponsoring, but in the later part of the conversation when that whole conversation took place I was blown off.
I'm a student you are my advisor. Where's your professionalism. At least decline me in a better manner. And once I said thank you, he slammed the phone. Well probably they think its not worth spending money on me because I'm not good enough for them, ain't it.
Well, at least thanks Mr Asridin for even taking time to talk to me.

When Life Gets Painted with Coulours
I always dreaded this place. This was the imaginary painting in my mind:

I was pretty much alone when I first got there, and never really enjoyed my stay there. Not until I met this jakoon:
I used to think he was a stuck up, but God knows how we were good friends at an instant, more known as the swimming duo. The following semester we are room mates.
Then came along my 3 pets:
Life was never the same again. This semester I'm not in Uni and I hate to admit it but I think I'm beginning to miss it now, and as my friend put it, its the people you meet there who colours your experience and life in the university.
My other coursemates and friends too are people who make my stay in uni different (don't really have much pics of you guys, but I'm sure you know who you are)
Time passes but not our relationship. The good times that we had together are priceless, only to remain in my memory.

Signs of The Lunar New Year
1. The saying 年年有余 is prevalent in your home. Seems like we really have 'yu' this year. This poor fish has been swimming upside down for 3 months in my mom's pond.

2. You have a stash of cookies, or more specifically for the Lunar New Year pineapple tarts stock piled in a corner of your house and cannot be eaten until the 1st day of the Lunar New Year

3. Training session begins to ensure that all skills are acquired and brush up before the big day hits: 'pong ah', 'kong ah', 'zi moh sek wu!' sau lui sau lui.

4. When your parents squabble over which decoration fits the house best to ensure the New Year atmosphere is felt, despite celebrating the biggest of the days in our hometown. A random
statement, I think mom has better taste. Lol.

"The greatest encouragement comes from the person you love and cherish most, yet the greatest disappointment comes from the people you love and cherish most."
Individuals go further when the person they hold dear to them are behind them. When you fall they pick you up helping you through hard times, and from that you grow to be a stronger person. When a person needs support, they seek it from these people too.
Yet, imagine when you need solace, support, encouragement and it just don't come. When this happens, it is not anger you feel, but great disappointment. At that point you just feel your life come crushing down on you with no one to pick you up helping you through. That's the worst which could be experienced by someone. Its even worst when your loved ones and the one you cherish gives you encouragement and support, but to only retract it half way.
Society nowadays are getting more stoical. No one knows the hardship one faces. So don't take things for granted. Always be a person others can lean on. Be the one who will always pick you dear ones up when they fall and give them all the support they need. This world needs more earthly encouragement and support besides a heavenly one.

UTPIA & Kajang 大姐 'Big Leap' Celebration
UTPIA : UTP International Airport. She's called an airport not for the reason you are thinking of now.
Our Stars of the day. Note that both of them have new hair styles.
As you step into adulthood, remember your childhood too!
21 already....Jia Min need to be more lady like. Don't so laser already. Shiou Ting never mind la. Like hang fok si lai already. lol
Finally before we leave...a little something to prove what I mentioned earlier...
21st Birthday is a big deal. Its a step into adulthood and in the Chinese tradition, a 'key' is supposed to be given to the birthday boy/girl, or now man/lady to symbolize that the person is officially released from the care of their parents. Shiou Ting's on 2nd and Jia Min's today. In Economics term, cost efficiency is of great importance....ok cut the crap short. We decided on doing a combined celebration to make it merrier with 2 persons birthday to celebrate, and it was at 1u.
The theme of our celebration : 'A step into adulthood, with a step into childhood'.
The theme of our celebration : 'A step into adulthood, with a step into childhood'.
Aiting and I schemed our surprise for them, and it all began with our meal at the Paddington Pancake House. These are the 4 types , out of the galore of pancakes which we were spoilt with choices we chose:
WARNING : DO NOT underestimate these pancakes. I thought they were more of dessert than a main meal. I think mine was good, as I love the galore of fruits in the bowl, but heck, this is the first time I got my face stuffed just by eating fruits. When it comes to pancakes I still prefer it with fruits rather than meat or cheese, but the rest of the pancakes seemed equally tempting. The price is rather reasonable. Its a good alternative to the normal usual and mediocre western food you get for the same price.
Surprise #1 : The Pacifier
Remember our theme of the day? Tada......

Surprise #2: Sing your lungs out
This is nothing new actually, but understand that despite being 21, the 2 of them are still karaoke virgins. Yup, and they are officially not virgins anymore, as in karaoke. I'm not sure about THE OTHER one though...I'm so gonna be in trouble soon....OK back on track, in the first place that Neway karaoke is so blardy hard to locate.
This is the 1st time i felt 1u's layout suck, but actually knowing which lift to take will bring you right away to the place though. Silly us walking all around the same place trying to locate this place, like finding Platform 9 3/4. It left UTPIA and Kajang 大姐 wandering all around aimlessly with me and aiting. You see, we decided to spare them the details, only for them to discover once we arrive. However, the impact it brought wasn't as good as what we expected no thanks to the though time locating the place.
Upon arrival, they were apprehensive, one saying she won't sing another was a little I think in awe, or I think being the usual blur self she is.

Remember all the apprehension initially. When you get the mic in you hands, you loose yourself. Turns out our Sugababes are indeed Sugababes after all. They can sing...not bad for a virgin, except aiting cause she isn't one anymore. Time flies when you don't realise. In a while we sang for a total of 4 hours, and we are still having out voice all good. It was a little disappointing though because there wasn't OneReplublic, Colbie Caillat and Natasha Bedingfield's Love Like This =(
But overall, it was a great time, though I apologize if I hoarded the mic today. Lol. You know you usually get high from singing.....
Again, happy, blessed birthday to both Jia Min and Shiou Ting. Hope you both had a great time. Thanks aiting for spicing things up.

Me and my friends went for a drink on New Years Eve at the newly opened AEON aka Jusco near my place, to usher in the new year. I didn't realise the pictures of the fireworks taken were quite mesmerizing when viewed on the computer.

These are the shots I managed, though I think it could better
Just overstuffed my face with Bah Kut Teh now wating for the fatty pork to sink lower into my digestion system before my nap.

Tracks to Loop on
These two albums are really highly recommended.
While she gets her playlist updates from him, I also got hooked onto this album thanks to him. I wasn't really a big fan of OneRepublic until I was in Kuching, listening to the acoustic version of Apologize without the fatty in it. I fell in love. Not to mention Stop & Stare which made me fall deeper. Back home my bro plays it so frequent on the guitar too. No wonder it sounded so familiar when I first heard the record.
In my opinion, they need no fatty to popularize them. They are good all by themselves. Probably the reason I'm hooked onto it is cause it gives me this very Keane feeling when I listen to them, also being the fact that they manage to include instruments like cello into their music. Perfecto.
She has been a phenomenon, undeniably, and looks pretty like Jennifer Aniston too. But her songs are wonderful. Calm, peaceful and mesmerizing. It brings me to a meadow field or the beach instantly while listening to her.
Bubbly? Not really like her. But thanks to that song, I did not say goodbye to 2007 without at least listening once to it. My take will be the track Feelings Show shall be the next hit on radio.
Love Like This by Natasha Beddigfield is also a great track. Another song I said bye bye to 2007 with. =)

Something to laugh the new year off **Prerequisite: Command of the Mandarin language**
Long before our time in the Eastern Province of China,
A guy went to cave to search for treasure,
the cave was dark, damp and slippery,
He fell down, and discovered a book entitled 武功秘笈
He opened the book and written on the first page is
"欲练此功,必须自宫“
translation : the reader who wants to master this kung fu has to make himself a eunuc
Hence this guy thought ,since he didn't achieve anything in life, why not learn the ultimate kungfu and serve the society justice, since China back then was ruled by tyrants.
So this guy 自宫,
After 3 months of pain, the wound healed
Then continuing to the second page,
2nd page wrote another 8 words
“如果自宫,未必成功”
Translation : Success will not necessarily be attained despite being an eunuch.
So this guy ponders again even there is no guarunttee, there still is possibility he might succeed.
Moving to the 3rd step, he turns to 3rd page,
Same as previous, 8 words were written on the it:
"如不自宫,也能成功“
Translation : Success can still be attained even if you are not an eunuch.
Upon reading this last 8 words, well I would say the last 8 in his life, he suffered a heart attact and snuffed it.
End of story
SFX: Claps Claps.
Credit : Jia Min. She said this joke was told by her tour guide during her last trip to China.
Ok, as far as the story goes, there's a dish/food which closely resembles this story. Can you guess what it is?
Its something really ordinary that you can get anywhere in Malaysia.

An Everlasting Souvenir
The only souvenir I came back from Kuching with was a kg of pepper, but there's a souvenir I brought back which shall stay with me forever unless I spend some thousands fixing it. It all started when we were in Damai Puri Resort. Its a newly refurbished 5 star resort at Santubong. The resort was not 100% completed yet hence we manage to get a room there for half the usual rate. Half the rate, half the facilities and service too. The adult pool was still under construction and only the children's pool is completed. I wanted a swim badly, so I dragged Kenneth along. Nothing better than a nice dive into the pool.
Step 1: Analysis The pool looks rather shallow. Is it ok for us to dive in? At the same time a lady was dipping in the pool and the water level reached her shoulders.
Step 2: Conclusion The pool should be deep enough to dive safely. 1,2,3 there we go.
CRASH! Kenneth surfaced with a bruise on his pelvic. I was second to him with my lips throbbing. He was cursing in pain. I thought I was better off with only a bruise on my lips. The earlier mentioned lady, stood up and turns out the water level was only until her belly! We were like WHAT?!!! After seeing us 2 jackass doing the stunt came over and ask Carina how are we. On a hand we were like fools but we had a good laugh, but the laugh came at a price.

Back in the room I had a souvenir waiting for me. Looking into the mirror, there it was for me to receive it: A crack on my front tooth. Lost a small portion of it from the earlier stunt performed.
My first trip, with good memories and an everlasting one to always remind me of it whenever I look into the mirror. =)

Conquering The Land of 60cents aka Sarawak
We (me and Carina aka Pear) came and went. Arrived on the 15th of December and left on 21st December. Appreciation to Kenneth and his family for being a wonderful host, most remarkably for his great infestation with what I call it the f*** and c***i syndrome.
Day 1: Kayak along Sarawak River through the rainforest
A good 4 to 5 hours of kayak down the river. Lots of sight seeing done.
Along the way we had to stop to trek through a path to reach this waterfall. The sight was magnificent though we missed the chance to see the bigger one since it hasn't been raining. The water is chilly and it almost froze our jewels off that it can fall of anytime. Yet the water was crystal clear and it tasted great (even cleaner than our home water even after filtration).
At the end of the day, all of us ended up with a nice through tan, which became sunburn later on. Now my skin is all peeling off that it looks like I'm plagued with some kinda skin disease.
The sun sets pretty early over there, at least an hour earlier than the West and I think because of that time seem to really pass slowly there. Everything's so laid back and relaxing.
We went round the city at night and this will be a familiar sight:
Day 2 & 3: Santubong
Cultural village was a not to be missed. Initially I didn't expect much out of the visit there, but on the contrary. It IS really a not to be missed. The cultural show was astounding. Displays of various indigenous people's culture and visits to their houses educated me better than all the history I learnt in school.
Next up was hiking mount Santubong. Due to our wrong estimation, we were forced to abandon our trekking up the peak cause the sun was setting while we were only half way up. Yet, we conquered Bukit Putri.
Day 4 & 5 : The Ultimate Showdown in Bako National Park
Kenneth put it in the best way which I would relate our experience there too. Yet the biggest achievement was by Carina aka Pear for making it through the whole trail despite her torn leg muscle *bows*. We were desperate. SOS was our option but there was no telco service and neither me nor Kenneth can carry Carina if she's immobilized. She's persistent and a strong lady. God was carrying us along. We finally made it through. Out of the forest we can't be anymore happier than going back to the forest of steel but reflecting on the feat we completed heck it was a good one.
Oh and here's the supply of our water throughout our stay in the forest. Don't be fooled though. The water is much more cleaner than the one we get at home and its safe to drink unboiled.
A great trip, 4 more days to Christmas upon return. Photos to look back and laugh at, missing the times we had, I do need another trip.

Once again its up to the elves
Its the time of the year again when Christmas is here! A very merry merry Christmas to all my friends out there. God bless you in the coming year.
Yup, its up to the elves and santa to distribute the presents again (the phrase is uttered by the Slayer, a hero from DOTA).
I guess being Chinese is a good thing. See the thing is we just celebrated the Winter Solstice where we ate tang yuen and now Christmas. Ho ho ho.

Exam Excursion
Current exams remaining :

One down, 4 more major ones to go.
Went down to Ipoh for dim sum this morning at 6.30, finally after oversleeping last Sunday (was suppose to go down last Sunday but I, the driver overslept XD).
Wanna know more details of our excursion, there's always the Birdy's blog(post 678) to read =)
Spent a whooping 12$ per person for breakfast. Then it's still food. We headed to this shop in old town, famous for its egg tarts and 'shak ke ma'. Since the last time I went, the price of egg tarts have been raised till 1.10$ per tart. That's super expensive compared to previously 0.80$. Still, can't complain cause it taste good and is big, but I still need 2 to make me full, while the girls needed only 1, or for Perempuan BKT, only 1/2.
Regretted not buying more...Only 2 more left now...but heck, it's expensive. Tomorrow's SP...But I'm thinking of sleep, Desperate Hoesewives, Heroes and food....I'm so screwed.

How I Spent My Study Week
A week ago study week started, and now a week later it's 2 days to finals. Big deal? What do you think....
That's besides the point. I was talking to Carina on a Thrusday night. She got the latest episode of Desperate Housewives and I was bugging her for it. She asked what's wrong with me? I said it's called the PreDH syndrome, which is of the following symptoms:
1. You can't stop bugging the person wathcing the episode you want to watch now.
2. You utter pure rubbish which you don't do on normal days.
3. You don't even bother about studying despite finals being days away.
In the midst of all that bugging, we came up with new names for each other:
-Carina is now known as Perempuan Berkotek
-She calls me Lelaki Ber-nen-nen
It's disgusting, but I had heck of a laughter when I wrote and read those. In fact I'm still laughing now.
On Friday night, we went down to Ipoh and I told the people who went down together (Punchee,Perpemuan Berkotek-You should know who this is by now, AngKhian and Crescentia-a new addition to our group since the old one is now 'unavailable'). Cres was amazed at how much we 'thin people can eat'. Wahaha. That's true after starving in UTP for the past week. And further more, must boost up for exams so must eat more and good.
Punchee needed a new phone but she didn't know what to buy. I personally love Motorolla V3x and I literally talked her into buying it, exceeding her budget by RM 200. The others saiy it's more like me buying the phone than Punchee buying a new phone XD
Back in room now stuck in front of the table with the laptop on...temptation. I tend to fidget with my laptop although there's nothing to do with it. I'm beginning to get tired and sick of studying easily nowadays. So here I am ended up blogging.
I'm still good, while there are people who update their blog so frequently, and there are some with so much emotions that you say 'this person must be having his/her period'. Oh btw, the guys here are special, cause they all have period. Me? My animal kingdom friends don't classify me as either. They say I'm an in-between. But still, like I give a damn about it cause physically I know what 'assets' I have and what I'm capable of when you put me in a room with another girl. Oopss...did I say too much?...Must protect image....must protect image....you didn't read what i just wrote just now....you've forgotten everything....

My Wish
A dedication to those who I met in life and has brought joy, wonder and coulours to my life, this goes to all of you (I hope you people know who you are, no need for me to mention ~lah =p)
I hope that the days come easy and the moments pass slow,
And each road leads you where you want to go,
And if you're faced with a choice, and you have to choose,
I hope you choose the one that means the most to you.
And if one door opens to another door closed,
I hope you keep on walkin' till you find the window,
If it's cold outside, show the world the warmth of your smile,
But more than anything, more than anything,
My wish, for you, is that this life becomes all that you want it to,
Your dreams stay big, and your worries stay small,
You never need to carry more than you can hold,
And while you're out there getting where you're getting to,
I hope you know somebody loves you, and wants the same things too,
Yeah, this, is my wish.
I hope you never look back, but ya never forget,
All the ones who love you, in the place you left,
I hope you always forgive, and you never regret,
And you help somebody every chance you get,
Oh, you find God's grace, in every mistake,
And you always give more than you take.
I hope that the days come easy and the moments pass slow,
And each road leads you where you want to go,
And if you're faced with a choice, and you have to choose,
I hope you choose the one that means the most to you.

Got back to campus yesterday. Started on Moral today...man...i can't take anymore of the world law and treaties...UN...can't lawyers and politicians write in simpler language? It's all going in a round...no wonder all these treaties are bleached and not maintained. Cause all those language creates a loophole while some just can't understand.
Can't stop listening to Rascal Flatts songs from their latest album, 2006 Me And My Gang. The songs are good, with good music and lyrics.
Was talking to How Jian for some time. Beginning to miss times in college. It was short, but it was fun with a whole bunch of whacko friends. According to him our group consist of one annoying and master of foul language, one who is funny, and one who is pure annoying and easy to pick on. Since you din't mention about youtself, you are the mensa kid who just love to annoy people and too good to be true =P
Campus is really quiet without the ones in celebration around and it has been raning frequently. At least I can leave my door open wide to enjoy the cold breeze without worrying of those people looking as they pass by.
Wish the semester ends faster. I want a holiday...badly...and I need a job for the coming holidays. Anyone out there who's offering employment?
